Republicans against Bush
Here’s an interesting tidbit from New Hampshire:
The best story of the night? The one that should unite us all? From the Republican primary results:
Bush 57,670
Kerry 835
Dean 633
Clark 545
Edwards 541That’s over 2,500 registered Republicans who wrote in a Democrat in their ballot.
I have no idea what its significance is, if any. I just thought it was weird.

Not really very surprising (to someone from US)
There are many Republican “liberals” (I’m one, on paper), who might well vote Democrat in the end.
And there are lots of people having doubts about Bush right now (for obvious reasons).
So, 4-5% protest vote seems surprising LOW, to me
I am an Army veteran and life long Republican. I will not vote for a Democrat no matter what, however, I am trying to get as many of my fellow Republicans as possible to vote for the Reform Party for President for the following purposes:
1) Send a message to Gillspie that we are the party of fiscal responsability and limited government.
2) To cause a Democrat to win and thereby forestall the Clinton presidency in 2008.
3) To convince Republcians not to just stay at home, but to come out and vote for Republicans in Congress. In my view, Congress is much more important than the Presidency anyway. It was a GOP congress that produced a fiscally responsible “Clinton administration”. Many Republicans are currently planning to sit this one out. It could cost us congressional control.

Recall that Republican were ‘frothing’ at the mouth
to end the CLINTON/GORE era, and in their rush
to send anybody the Republican electorate could
coalesce around may have picked a President that
will damage their and the US’s national credibility.

Bush must go! The democrat nominee is the only alternative. We can survive 4 years of Kerry. Another 4 Years of Bush and friends will destroy us!
