Software upgrade
I’ve decided to chuck in Mozilla and move on to a Firebird and Thunderbird tag team. Both seem a bit more polished than their Mozilla counterparts, and the default styles are much nicer. (Actually, Firebird looks a bit like an IE clone, but is better organised.)
I’ve also managed to suck a few years’ worth of emails off the Yahoo! Mail server and into my desktop client with the assistance of YahooPOPs! It was a bit fiddly to set up, and I had to download fewer than 20 messages at a go (to avoid timeouts), but it means I no longer have to keep my old Yahoo address active. It now funnels all new mail into the trash folder, and replies with a “holiday” message including my new email details.
By the way, if you want to read an extremely heated debate about a couple of dashes and a space,

Where ’tis?
Yes please. Mmm, punctuation.
Where ’tis? I see no link!
