Mark, I thought about that. But then I thought, hey, I'm not making fun of her appearance, and if someone wants to show them that it's Not Very Nice to have your photo posted around the place, then who am I to stand in their way?

Catherine, indeed. When you have such proclivities, you best make sure that your serfs know how to handle a block & tackle else thy most fave pet may crush thee.

"If there's someone out there that wants to test that theory, I'm sure the necessary ingredients can be found around the place."

In other words, "sure, the Young Libs are being disgusting hypocrites, and we condemn them for that. But *two* can play at *that* game..." C'mon, Rob. A few posts ago you were talking 'bout how it was Wrong to make fun of Miranda's appearance, and damnit, you were right.

(Though I suppose calling her "Catherine" wouldn't hurt...)

Saint, I mentioned elsewhere that Miranda Panda's sister's classmates are reading this. One of the biggest concerns I have about blogging --- it might have repercussions in future.

(My mother doesn't like me swearing, but it's not the end of the world, despite what Bolt reckons.)

It's probably not worth this much attention, but there are a couple of reasons that I've paid it attention. The first is that I know some of the people involved. The second is that I was reading Miranda Panda's blog before everyone suddenly discovered it. And finally, I'm procrastinating --- it's amazing how impending exams can focus the mind on the trivial.

Although there have now been threats of legal action, and Bolt has brought it into the mainstream. So perhaps it's not so trivial any more?

I have to admit to following this saga with a bit of detached amusement but the latest twists (not least Ms M's confession of speaking to Bolt and his latest article) have now pushed this into the realm of the surreal.

I expect a little bit of stupidity and poor judgment from teens and early twenty somethings (actually from older folks as well). But not a total loss of reason.

I think what is also lost on some of the players in this affair is that in publicly revealing their exploits, their mudslinging, and yes even their sex lives on their blogs, they are not just displaying their sad wares to their peers but to many others - including family, friends, educators and prospective or current employers who may not find it wonderful to be associated with them and their exploits much less have them studying under or working for them.(unless they are Bolt and can score a quick point on a slow news day)

A lot of prospective employers in particular, now do internet searches on applicants. Enough of a trend now, to have even warranted articles about it on the mainstream press. Please don't even let me entertain the thought that some of the delinquents in this story will also be future leaders - but in case they entertain those thoughts, just wonder who else is actually reading and filing away some of this stuff for future use.

Having said that I appreciate your attempt Robert to remain cool headed through this little saga - but I also wonder, does it really deserve this much attention?
