Make up your mind
After I told Rohan D’Souza he could run but he couldn’t hide, he has owned up to authorsip of the defamatory anti-Danby post, and is once again named on the Two Cents sidebar. Meanwhile, Alex Lew posted a quiz about Yasser Arafat, but now it’s unavailable from the main index. That’s the second post he’s deleted today. Come on, guys, make up your mind. Update: Okay, now the poll is back, but this time it’s posted by Miranda. Apparently, Alex thinks for her.

This is why politics and quizzes do not mix. I go to the post you mention, see the options, and reflexively click the “No — I am a terrorist sympathizer who hates Jews” option, even though I am not a terrorist sympathizer and I love or at least like most of the Jews I know, doing so merely because I thought it was the option these spiteful and vicious humans were inviting me not to click (also because I would not like to see Arafat, or anyone else, dead), and now 100% of all respondents are suddenly in favour of terrorism and anti-Semitism which is a) false and b) has nothing to do with the topic at hand, viz. Yasser Arafat and his impending demise — the fundamental problem here being that LiveJournalesque quizzes never have the option of “All of the above syllogisms are wholly specious” which is the one I would almost always select. It is the option I would almost always select.
Robert, sweetie, I may be new to this game, but:
who cares?
Have you nothing better to do than obsessively visit Two Cents pressing F5? Sad, sad man.
Actually, I care, if only a little bit.
I care because I work at the University of Melbourne, and it’s been revealing to see the quality of the rhetoric on the conservative side of student politics. Given the quality of Farrago this year, I suppose I should have guessed…
Racist Rose: I care because the conservatwats are stalking a friend of mine. And they’re a pack of hypocritical morons who deserve to be shown up as… well, as a pack of hypocritical morons.
Btw, have you heard of a feed reader? I don’t have to hit F5, I automatically get notification of new posts.
And now, predictably, poll results are skewed the other way. But Jesus, I shouldn’t post comments when I’m drunk.
