Andrew Bolt is a [deleted]

Oooh! Scandal!

When Miranda’s post about the lovely Andrew Bolt first appeared, it was introduced thusly:

Following my conversation with Andrew Bolt earlier this week, Andrew’s column in the Sunday Herald Sun featured this article. However, since the Herald Sun deadline, we at Two Cents have discovered further evidence to suggest that the name ‘Marieke Hardy’ is a pseudonyn for Diana Elgar (see Alexander’s upcoming post).

Ben Butler adopted his best Media Watch tone and emailed Bolta:

Why didn’t you tell your readers that you’ve met — and been interviewed by — Airey-Branson?

Why didn’t you tell your readers that your column was the result of a conversation with Airey-Branson?

He replied:

I have never met Miranda, and had not talked to her before I wrote that article.

Strange. I could have sworn she interviewed him in Farrago (where she admitted that, “Being a Liberal is not sexy.” You got that right).

Stranger still is the fact that Miranda’s post has now changed:

Andrew Bolt’s column in the Sunday Herald Sun featured this article.

That’s it. No mention of her amazing influence with a Respected National (read: Victorian) Journalist, and no mention of Alexander’s kooky conspiracy theory.

Unfortunately, she is too thick to do the job properly, and this later comment remains intact:

I first alerted Andrew Bolt to the smear campaign being launched against me.

Bolt is obviously ashamed of the fact that he sources his columns from bitter Liberal students who can’t hack a little bit of criticism on the internet.

It really is quite embarrassing. To quote the subject of his rant:

Can we just leave it by saying that in a week where Yasser Arafat is close to death and George Bush wins the US election , Andrew Bolt chose to write his column on…. me?

If you want to drop Bolt a line to ask him about his priorities — and his [honesty] — you can reach him on bolta@heraldsun.com.au(.)

(This just keeps getting better.)

    Andrew Bolt is a liar
So says this blog, based on the info in this one. But Andrew Bolt is a “a respected national columnist”. Surely it can’t be true?

More to the point, what about this line from Bolt?

Hardy jeers, before describing how she would sexually abuse Airey-Branson, whom she calls an “ugly ignorant c…” — wrongly I should add.

Emphasis added. One wonders how he would know, unless he was just going on the same gifs as the rest of us. Which raises more questions than it answers, of course.

I don’t want to come across as shallow (and who knows, they might come after me for saying this), but in response to “Being a Liberal is not sexy” after having seen MAB’s photos: Amen.

    And speaking of abortion
Funny what you find when you minimise a window and forget about it for a day or so….

I’m so amazed that Andrew Bolt actually mentioned MAB! Ten dollars he is sleeping with her (I’ve checked with the TAB and the odds are pretty good). Why else would he be doing interviews for her. They must have so much fascist, racist, homophobic right wing propagana to talk about. I’d imagine there would never be a gap in the conversation. I just hope that very soon they will both jump on Miranda’s horse and both ride into the sunset never to return again. Till Andrew gets sick of Miranda’s ranting and raving and miraculously returns, cured of his Liberal political views

Really I should be writing to the Herald Sun or better the Age to inform them of this valid rumour just waiting to be revealed as truth

I was going to say something concerning a certain TISM song, but I think I will refrain.

Joseph: It slays me that MAB was so triumphant about Bolt coming to her defense, when the only positive thing Bolt could think of to say about her was that she’s “not an ugly ignorant cunt.”

You think she’s got that printed on a T-shirt yet?

    Ha ha ha! That’s funny.

You obviously haven’t been following the story, because Andrew Bolt tried to get me out of a job and onto the dole.
