Giving in to iPod

Richard Giles will be pleased — I bought an iPod. Her name is Rosa, she dresses in black, and she sings a mean Pearl Jam cover.

Yeah, but it has U2’s autographs on it. Otherwise, I probably would have shelled out.

Congrats. I got one a few months ago and I’ve probably used it every day since – one of those rare buys that is worth every cent.

Boo, IPod. What a rubbish choice. Sucked in by a commercial involving Jet. Boo again.

Hmph. I was staunchly anti-iPod, especially because of the Jet thing. However, Jet are no longer the poster boy. I will leave it to Elmo to defend U2, because I haven’t got much. At least they’ve got some good songs.

Seriously, though. I got it after seeing how much use my brother got from his. I would have been open to an alternative, but I don’t know anyone with the Creative thing, and I’m not prepared to shell out that much money without seeing a real one in real use by a real person. So iPod it is.

And it’s been fantastic so far…

The iPod owns the market because it is the best. Apple seem to be keeping ahead of the game also, not slipping into averageness like every other market dominator out there.

Rubbish. The IPod owns the market because they’ve got the biggest marketing budget. People don’t even know there are alternatives.

The alternatives are nowhere near as good. iPod rocks.
