Yo-yo
Well, I’m back. The ugly appearance is due to an updated version of Wordpress, and I haven’t yet customised the templates. I’ll get on to that as soon as possible. (In the time since my site came back — less than an hour — I was hit with over 500 spam comments.)

Thought I was at Catallaxy, without the Turing Code!
Nice to see you back.
Spammers are bastards.
Come on, surely the left can support the death penalty for this lot.
Very Catallaxian. So you’ve gone over to the
darklite grey side. Next we’ll hear you’ve ditched the suit in solidarity with Soon.I think I’ll nominate your for best designed weblog. Meanwhile, would it be possible for you to take my surname out of your link? I don’t like to associate it w/ the blog.
yours tangentially,
I’m impressed that even this improvised design is snazzy.
It’s just the Wordpress default, isn’t it?
Mark — sorted.
Graham — yep, in the upgrade I over-wrote my index file. I just need to dump the customised one in the folder and everything should be hunky-dory.
Done. A couple of loose ends left, but they shouldn’t affect the public site.
Francis, if ever in Brisbane, Red Square sells a very spiffy suit. Bought a very swish black pin-stripe number recently. Mention my name to Yasamin, the Fashion Consultant, and she’ll do you a deal. There’s no excuse for t-shirts at work!
Or if she doesn’t know my name mention “That Uni lecturer who spends heaps of money on clothes”.
Oh, and Robert, good to see you back. It was getting pretty grim there for a while with both you and Quiggin offline…
marko – great to hear.
I’ve adjusted my database of bloggers and moved you UP a few notches.
You’d be ” The Only Humanities Lecturer Who Wears a Suit” then?
Hey Rob, speaking of Wordpress blogs… yeah, you thought I’d forgotten, hadn’t you? Well, I haven’t!
You know if I had a pretty blog I’d update it more often…
Yeah, I haven’t forgotten, Sunili, I just haven’t had time to sort it out. And I want to finish my Christmas shopping before I fork out for hosting. But… soon, very soon.
