best You Am I track, EVAR. almost makes up for listening to the Whitlams. almost. ;)

I like The Whitlams, sometimes. Not that song, though. More like “I Make Hamburgers”.

Best You Am I track? No, I think Darp’s is better. And I like Tim Rogers’ “Making Toast”, though I doubt he’s sober enough to play it these days. :-(

Bestest Tim Rogers song would surely be ‘Paragon Cafe’.

“wound up on the toilet floor bleedin’, which seems so appropriate somehow.”

Hm I’m quite a fan of ‘Damage’ (esp. the version covered by Adalita from Magic Dirt on JJJ LATW) and ‘Who put the devil in you’ and ‘Hourly Daily’. I also find it hard to go past ‘Heavy Heart’.

Oh, also the one sung by Bernard Fanning for the Dirty Deeds soundtrack. I forget the name.

Yeah, yeah, I could narrow it down for you…

My friends, well they were my friends, like Le Tigre. Other than that, I really haven’t heard of any of it. Thus leaving open the possibility for a top ten fave vinyls for sad old bastard thirty-somethings. It would have to include Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet and possibly Real Life.

sometimes it pays off to be bored and browse the net in search of some info about your own band ;)
Robert, the inclusion of “Gift” on your list is one of the highlights of my “career” with Soviet Valves! and it means a lot.
we play Fri 25 at the Hyde Park Hotel, then we’re back in studio for more recording on Sat and Sun.
    Cheers!
