Your country is actually 2000 warheads short when you take a look at Russia. That said, having a nuclear arsenal demonstrates mediocrity rather than superiority in anything except the final showdown, which hopefully will never eventuate. Anti-US commentary is most often not a personal slag against the American people, just against their government for being too pushy in the international arena, or at least being seen to behave that way.
