What a relief!

It appears that Daniel’s bout of swearing was for nought. What a relief!

Bombshell! But Kathy Donnelly is still his mum? So what’s this mean - at the time he was conceived, she was sleeping with other people besides Tony Abbott?

Things just got a little bit more complicated, methinks.

Yeah that seems a bit sad, doesn’t it? He seems to never quite have his finger on the pulse does he? Wonder if this has changed his mind about abortion?

Why would he change his mind about abortion?

Well. First he makes such a spectacle out of his son’s reappearance after all those years, then suddenly he publicly looks like a cuckolded clueless wonder who seems to never have known what’s going on around him. It would have been far easier if that particular pregnancy had been terminated, and that’s where my comment’s coming from…

I am neither for nor against the abortion issue, and I have no wish to see Daniel cease to exist, I have no other interest in this case, I was merely noting a deep and resounding irony.

There is no evidence that he made a spectacle of his son’s reappearance, as he was contacted and interviewed by The Bulletin.

How The Bulletin found out about the case is anyone’s guess, but nobody has proven that Abbott was behind it.

Two things are clear, however: firstly, Abbott has never fathered an illegitimate child; secondly, Abbott has never been involved in an abortion (except to the extent that the Health Ministry presides over many thousands each year).

As Abbott has neither fathered an illegitimate child, nor been involved in any abortions, it necessarily follows that there is no irony whatsoever in his political views. He has every right to be a pro-lifer, and were he to redouble his efforts to reduce the number of abortions I trust there shall be no snickering on the part of his opponents.

All those Hail Mary’s were said for nothing. Perhaps he should look at getting a refund from the big man upstairs (Not JWH either).

I would be glad to find out Tony Abbott was not my father, but the whole associated media kerfuffle would still have been very traumatic…

I am certain that snickering is not the reaction of opponents of Abbott. Outrage and anger at the hypocrisy of trying to reduce abortions while limiting access to contraception is a more obvious response.

When everyone was putting the boot into him a few people couldn’t resist the accusation that he was a cad for abandoning the mother of his child. I found that disconcerting at the time, because I’m against shotgun marriages and couldn’t see why most of Abbott’s enemies would be otherwise.

I wonder if he’ll get any apologies now?

Ted that comment wasn’t very pleasant- a few of those and the anti-abortion lobby would have a field day.

This is despicable. Martin is absolutely correct in asserting that criticism directed at Tony is completely undeserved. He is one of the best politicians this country has today, and all you can do is take personal shots at him from the comfort of your desk.

The Left must come to the reality that there is a morale revolution sweeping this nation defending the rights of its true, freedom-loving citizens, whether they are born or not. This is a reality demonstrated by this Government’s outstanding performance and resounding support from the public.

Our side is powerful and growing, and our unborn sons and daughters will one day be greatful to us for fighting this crusade. The ranks of the righteous will then surely grow and the heathens shall dwindle like the pathetic gnats that they are.

    The Left is doomed.

Well I was gonna launch into this thread by pointing out that -
“I’m sorry poor old Daniel has been dragged through the public spotlight”
    - is the rankest hypocrisy, especially as Tony’s assumed paternity for Dan was an open secret in Canberra for nearly a year.

And when the media could no longer resist the temptation to go public, they were wheeled and dealed (’an exclusive with the PM if yer just hold off enough for another month’) until the time was right over the abortion debate. Folks, I work in this business and that’s how this business works.

Now it’s becoming unstrung, as it always does. And that’s why those “satan/marcel” comments are so indicative. For them, it’s all about never mind the quality, feel the width. The fact several people and families have been turned upside for a slight political edge is immaterial to how the material gets cut.

Anyway, Tony A. played this card and won for the short term. But now I think it could have lost him the big game. Aussies will accept as their PM, drunks, adulterers, party boys, sarky fops or boring twerps. But I’d like to think they still have enough pride not accept someone whose life is turning into a Gerry Springer episode even before he became PM.

Another slave of the Left laments on the small size of his penis.

But behold! The penis’ of the Right are large and powerful, wielded with such awsome might. Especially Tony Abbott’s. His is wonderful. A treasure to behold - and it has been beheld many a time.

But all you can do is fret about your own inferiority complex. We almost feel sorry for your poor, inconsequential souls. You may despise the very nature of our supremacy, but deep within the chasm of your own shrivelled hearts, you envy it.

But we shall never reveal the essence of our mastery. Nay, we shall you deny you our essence!

    You are doomed.
