Reminder: Comments policy
I’d like to remind people about my comments policy, especially as it relates to antisocial behaviour (spam, off-topic comments, abuse, threats). Unfortunately I have had to ban a number of people in the last couple of days.
The first was a woman who spammed the site, and when I informed her of the ban she said she would “work this computer big time when I get a hold of it. And I will return religiously to this site as well recommended to my associates as well.”
Before long a few other misfits turned up threatening a denial-of-service attack (a federal crime), and saying, “i hate asianz, mooslimz, wigggas, people who sympathise with this scum”. Another ranted about “muslim 3rd world scum”.
The woman who directed these delightful characters to Red Rag was a One Nation candidate in a recent election. None of them will be commenting here in future. I welcome discussion and debate, but this was utterly unacceptable.

HAve you reported Ms BAteman and her “associates” to the feds and their ISP ?? I’m sre they’ll have sudden bowel movements when a few feds knock on their door to take their computers away for forensic examination :-)
I am still finding my way around these things with my blog. I think my blog is a bit eccentric, and that contributes towards more than half the comments are anonymous personal attacks or insults. I think it is a disturbing reflection of the nature of many people attracted to politics.
On a similar note - have you received any racist e-mail spam lately? Far right wing One Nation types seem to have discovered spam as a mechanism for distributing their vile mutterings.
I get around these problems by A) being racist myself, which backfires and I get sympathetic/racist responses. B) keeping a really crap blog which nobody wants to read, this also backfires when I get flamed for poor/pathetic blogging C) Having fun trolling other peoples sites (not blogs though), this doesn’t solve anything but trolling can be a lot of fun if you know where to go, like nationstates for instance.
Wow One Nation found out about you Rob! Look out, they might try to recruit you!
