And the winner is…
Well, time’s up. It must have been harder than I thought to guess the songs — I was sure someone would get at least eight of them. But the winner is a fellow Perth blogger, Paul, who scored six right.
- Dresden Dolls — Girl Anachronism
- Pearl Jam — Alive
- Ben Folds Five — Steven’s Last Night in Town
- Frente — Labour of Love
- The Who — Baba O’Riley
- You Am I — Soldiers
- Jane’s Addiction — Jane Says
- Billy Bragg — The Internationale
- Glenn Miller & his Orchestra — Sing, Sing, Sing
- Europe — The Final Countdown
The only two songs that nobody got were The Internationale (my NSW comrades should be ashamed, though they were the only ones to pick Baba O’Riley) and Sing, Sing, Sing, which everyone should know. Everyone.
Now to think of a prize…

I thought 9 was Sing, Sing, Sing… but my memory thought the rest of the band came in a fraction before the end of your clipping of it… didn’t go and listen to confirm tho. that’ll teach me. 2, 3 and 10 were easy enough, had no clue about the rest tho.
I knew six of them, but thought that was too pathetic to bother entering! Guess not…
Sure you did, Adam! :-P
WooHoo!
I’m stoked to have won such a prestigious competition.
I can’t think of a suitable prize either though. I think I’ll settle for respect… and a promise that you will never trash-talk me in a tell-all diary.
Oh, and I’m deeply embarrassed that I too missed the Billy Bragg track…
